How a shirt is built
From measure to delivery, every stage turns around a single pattern.
Consultation
Intended use, dressing habits and the existing wardrobe are reviewed together.
Measurement
Twelve points including neck, shoulder, chest, waist, sleeve and wrist; postural asymmetries noted.
Fabric & Detail Selection
Cloth, collar, cuff, buttons and monogram preferences are decided together.
Pattern
Measurements become a personal pattern, archived digitally.
Production
The cloth is rested, pattern alignment checked and each piece cut individually, then joined with high stitch density and English seams. The stitching stays invisible.
Fitting & delivery
The first shirt is fitted, corrections written into the pattern, and the order completed.

Construction
Our make standards
The technical detail behind every bespoke shirt: seams, interlinings, threads and pre-treated cloth.
- —English seams on the sides and sleeves; inner seams closed cleanly so the stitching stays invisible.
- —6 stitches per cm; 5 stitches per cm on non-iron cloth.
- —A dedicated interlining at the armhole for a smooth shoulder-to-sleeve transition.
- —Clean placket construction that hides the button threads.
- —Seamless yoke construction.
- —Wendler interlining on collars and cuffs.
- —Ascolite-reinforced buttons: minimal breakage risk and easy fastening.
- —Coats 150-180 sewing thread and Madeira 60 embroidery thread.
- —On non-iron shirts, extra interlining on the placket and side seams to prevent creasing.
- —Knit, performance and linen cloths are washed before production so shrinkage is ruled out.
